The evening began with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a musical odyssey that transported our guests from the late 15th century to the futuristic sounds of electronica.

During a four-course banquet our keynote speaker, Richard W. Pound, Chancellor of McGill University and former Vice- President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) inspired our 340 guests with his vision of the future of education.

Dinner was followed by a screening of the documentary film 150 years from Normal, produced by Faculty of Education students.

To conclude the celebration, a live jazz band had the ballroom swinging.
